Each review will use the Board Revolution Board Assessment Tool (BRT), a comprehensive questionnaire which provides us with the core information we need to review your Board. With over 100 questions, the BRT is structured into three domains: Strategy, Competency and Effectiveness.
The BRT aligns with recognised guidance on effective Boards including the UK Corporate Governance Code and Wates Corporate Governance Principles. It draws from academic research on the changing role of Boards, where there is increasing interest in how organisations can achieve their profit objectives and make a social and environmental impact at the same time.
We use the BRT in conjunction with conducting Director Interviews, Observing Board Meetings and Reviewing your Board Documentation. The breadth of our approach, which is tailored to your needs delivers a comprehensive overview of your Board, its purpose, structure, decision making, leadership, aptitude, culture, integrity, diversity, accountability, openness and effectiveness.
