John Burchill is a highly experienced Board level operator and adviser having worked as a Legal Director and General Counsel for a number of Blue-Chip companies and as a CEO, Non-Executive Director and Chairman.
John has worked in financial services and insurance, engineering and automotive, food and beverage, manufacturing and retail, IT, pharma, publishing and media, health and professional services. He is also an expert in Franchising.
He has worked with listed and AIM companies, US Corporations, private and public sector organisations and staff owned businesses including Community Interest Companies. His insight is fuelled by the cultural differences and varied commercial and business approaches taken by his clients.
John has worked in the UK and internationally and has advised on a wide range of business and governance issues including, corporate set up and raising finance, establishing Boards, drafting constitutional documents including shareholder and investor agreements, advising on Director Appointments, managing Board disputes and Director terminations and running workshops on Company and Board Strategy.
As well as acting as a General Counsel for businesses across a range of industries, John also currently acts as the Chair of an NHS Provider in the the Dentistry sector and for a leading media and publication business in the Mortgage Industry.
Ian White is a highly experienced consultant specialising in Board Evaluation and acting as an Executive Coach, Mediator/Facilitator, and Trainer.
Ian worked as the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary for a number of listed and major private companies. and has has also worked as a strategy consultant advising businesses across a wide range of business issues.
Ian’s previous experience led him to develop an expertise in corporate governance and working with boards on effectiveness, enhancement and performance.
He developed his practice as a response to his career experiences, where he saw many examples of Boards and Senior Management Teams failing to perform to their full potential. Utilising this experience, as well as his skills as a Board Level consultant, his objective is to help boards and senior management enhance their performance and thereby improve the organisations they lead.
While most of his work takes place in the corporate sector, Ian has also undertaken assignments in the not-for-profit and public sectors. His clients range from FTSE 100 companies to mid-sized charities and every type of organisation in between.
As well as being a lawyer, Ian has an MBA from Ashridge Business School, a coaching qualification, and he is a CEDR (Centre for Dispute Resolution) accredited mediator. He is also developing his expertise in psychometrics.
